Tornados are one of nature’s most powerful—and terrifying—forces, unleashing ferocious winds, flooding rainfall, deadly cloud-to-ground lightning and frequently destructive (and large) hail.

Huddling in your basement as a funnel cloud rotates toward your neighborhood is scary enough. But what if you’re driving and you spot one? Whether you’re on a country road, a city boulevard or an interstate highway, would you know where to go?
