1. Craft & Common, Orlando

Music and good vibes abound at this lively downtown gem. Whether you’re a fan of espresso, decaf vanilla lattes or nitro cold brews, this crew stands ready to create the drink of your dreams. The café also has breakfast and lunch food menus.

Try the Tres Leches Waffles with its two pearl waffles, sweetened condensed milk, powdered sugar and seasonal berries or its fig and hummus toast with mission figs, lemon beet hummus, candied pecans, mint and balsamic vinegar for a breakfast treat. For lunch, choose from a menu of delicious sandwiches including a turkey panini with grilled sourdough bread, smoked turkey, provolone basil, arugula, tomato and pickled onion garlic aioli.

2. Ginger Beard Coffee, Tampa

This quirky shop—owned by two guys who indeed sport ginger beards—proudly serves nitro cold brew on tap. Through importing partners Convoya and Yellow Rooster Coffee Imports, they source coffee beans from around the world and then roast them to perfection. (You can even purchase their roasted coffee beans online.) There’s also comfy seating; a pool table; and draft lattes, classic drip coffee and more to round out the eclectic menu at their store.

3. Black Dog Cafe, Tallahassee

Coffee, conversation and community are top priorities at this café’s three locations. The menu features single-origin coffee and roasted blends as well as specialty coffees from across the globe—including coffees from Kenya, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Peru and Indonesia—that change daily.

You can pair your coffee with a sweet or savory food such as a slice of banana bread or a serving of baked egg casserole. Beer and wine are also available. The café is committed to ethical and sustainable practices in the grower-roaster-processor-consumer chain.
