1. Cappuccino and Company, Scottsbluff

The delicious brews and bites are all made from scratch. And the operators consider their goodies to be better for you than traditional offerings because they’re made from premium products. So, grab your coffee, smoothie or protein shake, and feel good about your choice.

The same goes for breakfast, lunch and the baked goodies, such as its granola bowl, veggie wrap and croissants, respectively. Order a signature coffee drink, such as a latte, an Americano, a Thai coffee, a cappuccino or a buttery low-acid coffee known as Bulletproof Coffee. The coffeehouse has a welcoming atmosphere that features the works of local artists and writers.

2. Mark Ferrari Specialty Coffees, Oshkosh

They like to say “Aloha from Oshkosh,” and there’s a good reason for that. They produce and serve renowned Kona coffee from the owner’s farm in Hawaii. You can order a specialty drink, such as a doppio, an Americano, a cappuccino or a flavored latte, as well as chai tea and fruit smoothies. Arrive early to enjoy the macadamia cinnamon rolls, which are sure to make you crave more. Bags of roasted Kona coffee beans are also for sale at this location and online.

3. Downtown Coffee Company, Norfolk

Established in 2000 as the first espresso bar in the area, this trendy spot will cure your morning cravings, be they for coffee, espresso, lattes or omelets. The coffeehouse offers the full range of specialty coffee drinks: café au lait, breve, latte, cappuccino and more. The shop has a porch and a flowering courtyard that add to customer enjoyment, and it’s open from May through October. It’s got you covered for lunch, too, with sandwiches, soups and salads. Plus, dessert! And don’t forget to check out the smoothies.
