Chicago's vibrant food scene is nothing short of amazing, and with the help of AAA, we embarked on a memorable culinary journey.

Kasama: A Michelin Star Experience

Our first stop was Kasama, an exquisite Filipino-American restaurant that marries traditional flavors with modern twists. Notably, Kasama is celebrated as the first Filipino restaurant to receive a Michelin star—a true testament to its outstanding cuisine.

Iconic Deep-Dish Staples

A trip to Chicago wouldn't be complete without indulging in the city's iconic deep-dish pizza. We made sure to visit Pizano’s, Lou Malnati's, and Giordano’s— and they did not disappoint. We loved that each place put their own unique spin on Giordano’s deep-dish. Giordano’s cheese pulls, Lou Malnati’s incredible sauce, and of course Pizano’s amazing crust were unforgettable.

Fatso’s Last Stand & Matcha Cita Chi

In search of the perfect Chicago dog, we discovered Fatso’s Last Stand, where the hot dogs were delicious and left us fully satisfied. To complement our savory cravings, we enjoyed a refreshing break at Matcha Cita Chi, where we received a 10% discount through AAA. Their vividly colorful teas were as delightful to look at as they were to drink.

Gibson’s Steakhouse

One of the highlights of our trip was dining at Gibson’s Steakhouse. While they may not have invented the steak, they have certainly perfected it. Recognized with a “Three-Diamond” designation from AAA, Gibson’s delivered an exceptional dining experience that we wholeheartedly endorse.

JARS by Fabio Viviani

No culinary journey is complete without dessert, and JARS by Fabio Viviani offered the perfect sweet ending. With single-serve desserts that are too good to share, it’s a good thing they come in individual portions!
