You can find just the right place to stay in one of the 132 rooms, each of which includes a kitchen. All the accommodations are suites, and the hotel offers a well-equipped fitness center (above) and complimentary breakfast.

You can feel good about your stay because Element is an eco-conscious lodging facility. Waste-reduction practices are employed and a recycling program is in place, including for the guest rooms. The rooms also have efficient faucets and fixtures, and all the kitchens are furnished with eco-friendly appliances.

The hotel staff also uses green cleaning products. And there’s more: Element even offers electric car charging stations and bicycle rentals that are perfect for exploring the neighborhood.

Less than 20 years ago, it would’ve taken quite an imagination to see this neighborhood now known as Midtown Crossing. There wasn’t much more than a little-used park bordered by busy streets, parking lots and underdeveloped property. But in stepped insurance giant Mutual of Omaha, whose headquarters are nearby.

The company spearheaded the effort to revitalize the area and over time transformed the 15-plus acre tract into a walkable and delightful neighborhood. And that little-used park—Turner Park—has become an expanded green space where folks can relax with their dogs or attend one of the many concerts held there. Summer also brings free yoga and workout classes, markets and family events.

When you head out to explore, stock your kitchen with great food from Wohlner’s Neighborhood Grocery & Deli, which is just steps away. If you don’t want to cook, no worries. Also right nearby is Ray’s Wings & Pizza, which has the best traditional Buffalo wings in town.
