| January 28, 2024 | 1 Minute Read
Inspired by the area’s railroad transportation history, the building (above) has classically appealing exterior architecture with industrial-chic elements inside. The property has 119 guest rooms (below), each arrayed in rich colors and varied textures to create the feel of staying in an elegantly appointed home. Amenities include plush Waldorf Astoria-branded beds, blackout curtains, 50-inch flat screen televisions, mini fridges, cozy Frette robes and slippers, spacious closets and complimentary high-speed internet access. Framed art in the rooms gives a nod to the local history of the Western & Atlantic Railway. While couples will love this chic property for a romantic getaway, it’s also ideal for families, as some rooms can be configured into two-bedroom suites.
Though there’s a workout room on-site, you may prefer to get your steps in by exploring the city. “The hotel is located in the center of bustling downtown Alpharetta, which features more than 250 shops within a 5-mile radius, many of which are just footsteps from the hotel, and more than 200 restaurants,” says General Manager Amber Edwards. For guests who prefer to tuck into a meal without leaving the premises, the hotel boasts two restaurants. Have a bite of breakfast at Fulton’s Public House, where shrimp and grits, Belgian waffles and avocado toast provide an inspiring start to any day. Lunch and dinner fare at the indoor-outdoor Carrie’s Conservatory includes small plates, such as truffled french fries with shaved Parmesan cheese, fried pickles with spicy aioli, and sweet chili lime chicken wings. Or, go heartier with the griddled cheeseburger on a feather-light brioche bun or a delicious pressed Cuban sandwich.
The engaged hotel management team fosters a sense of community among guests and the surrounding neighborhood with fun activations planned year-round. Take part in challenging workout classes from guest instructors, pet-friendly events, live music, local shopping experiences and more.
AAA Inspector Notes:
“This newer addition to Alpharetta offers a unique experience, high end style and a variety of social spaces to gather with friends. Located downtown, this is a pedestrian friendly hotel option. Guests especially love the courtyard, lounge and walking distance to a variety of restaurants.”
