Ensure Your Devices are Updated

Apple has released an emergency update to patch a serious vulnerability found in iOS and iPadOS.

The patches are iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1.

The vulnerability affects Apple’s WebKit browser engine. What makes this update urgent is that Apple claims the vulnerability is being actively exploited.

If you have not updated your iPhone or iPad to the operating system mentioned above, your device may be vulnerable to an attack where hackers could carry out malicious actions.

This update covers the following devices:

  • iPhone 6s and later
  • iPad Pro (all models)
  • iPad Air 2 and later
  • iPad 5th generation and later
  • iPad mini 4 and later
  • iPod touch (7th generation)

When you upgrade your operating system, AAA Mobile may ask for permission to use your background location. Please select “Always” and Precise location “On” to ensure you continue to receive information from AAADrive.

Failing to select “Always” might result in the app not capturing the correct GPS data to log your journeys.
