THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride returns once again to the Colorado Railroad Museum for 2024! Sure to rekindle the Christmas spirit in true believers, THE POLAR EXPRESS™ offers a unique, three-part theatrical extravaganza of holiday magic. And (returning for 2024!) we’re pleased to offer discounted pricing on all performances prior to Thanksgiving! This beloved event has sold out well in advance for the past four years, so don’t delay — secure your tickets early. Your THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride experience begins in our uniquely appointed THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Pavilion. Here, you and your loved ones will gather around festive tables to sing carols and enjoy a lively cabaret-style holiday show, featuring the “Hot Chocolate” song and dance. Nibble on a tasty cookie and sip your hot chocolate as the story of Chris Van Allsburg’s The Polar Express is dramatically reenacted before your eyes.

The magic continues as you step outside to witness the thrilling arrival of THE POLAR EXPRESS™. With a symphony of smoke and steam, the train emerges from the darkness, and the conductor calls out, inviting passengers to climb aboard. Soon, you’re off to the North Pole! There, you’ll watch eagerly as the elves sing and dance and Santa presents the First Gift of Christmas.

Once the train with its sleepy passengers returns from the North Pole, you’ll have the opportunity to visit with Santa — and pick up your very own First Gift of Christmas, a silver bell! (For 2024, Santa will once again take up residence aboard our Union Pacific dining car for these visits.) THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride remains an experience that you won’t want to miss.
