Looking for some fun events and activities to get in the fall spirit? Look no further than the Old 96 District of South Carolina! With the cooler temps and changing colors, we’ll set the scene for the perfect fall getaway for you and your family. Mark your calendars for these upcoming events.

Stewart Farms in Enoree, South Carolina, is the perfect place to kick off fall with your family! Enjoy a wagon ride and corn maze — and don’t forget to take home a mum and a few pumpkins and gourds from this treasured Laurens County attraction. During select weekends in October, you can even take your turn through its (family-friendly) haunted corn maze and a nighttime wagon ride! Its 2024 fall season is all Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Sept. 21-Oct. 27.

Oct. 4-5, 2024, is Squealin’ on the Square in Laurens, South Carolina. Come celebrate the 21st anniversary of the barbecue festival and make a weekend of it to hit all the vendors and enjoy all Laurens has to offer.

Fall Farm Nights at Hickory Hill Farm are back for their 15th year of wagon rides, corn mazes, live music, and food trucks on select Tuesday nights throughout fall! See the full schedule of performers and delicious eats on the farm’s website.

The downtown square in Abbeville, South Carolina, is the place to be Oct. 18-19, 2024, for the 2024 Hogs and Hens Festival. Enjoy enchanting and historical downtown Abbeville while shopping a great selection of craft vendors, enjoying live music, and feasting on the best barbecue this side of the Mississippi!

And don’t forget to mark your calendars for the annual Autumn Candlelight Tour on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at Ninety Six National Historic Site in Ninety Six, South Carolina. While it is free, reservations are required as this is a popular event and space is limited. Tour the area famous for being the first Southern land battle of the Revolutionary War by candlelight and learn all about the local history dating back before America was even a country!
