Travel More, Worry Less
Wherever you go, AAA Travel helps keep you informed, prepared and protected.
These days, navigating myriad requirements for travel—both international and domestic—can be complex. That’s why we’ve assembled a collection of informative online resources to help you prepare for your next trip. Of particular note is the new AAA Travel Restrictions digital tool, available in the AAA Mobile app and online at our Travel With Confidence landing page.
Traveling soon? See the latest travel regulations before you depart. Already booked? Review the travel checklist. Traveling abroad? Check out the interactive, color-coded world map that allows users to look at any destination to learn about its latest COVID-19-related health restrictions and requirements, including protocols for vaccination, testing and quarantine. And by clicking the designated tab, you’ll find up-to-date requirements for returning to the place most familiar and welcoming: home.
Following are several member scenarios in which these new digital tools would prove handy.
It’s a big world out there, but the site covers most of it. You’ll find a page that asks you about your COVID-19 vaccination status, the country you’re traveling from, your destination and a date range for your trip. Then it will take you to a current list of that country’s restrictions. And yes, the Seychelles gets its due.
Look for the Cruise Vacations section on the Travel With Confidence homepage. Travel requirements and health protocols are constantly evolving and can vary by cruise line, ports of departure and ports of call.
Yes. Look for the Hotel Safety & Cleanliness section on the homepage. If a property is a member of the AAA Diamond Program, it meets AAA standards for cleanliness and service—whether it’s a budget hotel or a luxury resort. If you haven’t traveled in a while, you may notice that hotels have put in place (possibly permanently) changes to protect you, including contactless check-in and checkout and updated housekeeping procedures. When booking online at AAA.com/hotels, use the Best of Housekeeping filter to find the top properties for cleanliness.
Hardly. The bottom line: Travel insurance can help protect you from the unexpected and offers significant peace of mind. There are even special policies now that offer a safety net in the event of COVID-19 disruptions. The site’s helpful FAQ section is a great place to start finding answers to your questions. The next step would be to speak with your AAA Travel Advisor.
Lucky you! The site’s color-coded, interactive world map offers point-and-click convenience for viewing entry restrictions and travel requirements for countries worldwide. Look for the section labeled “Traveling soon? See the latest travel regulations before you depart.” One click, and you’ll see the map.
